Hand crafted, heirloom quality home entry mud shoe bench. Photos feature both finished (golden tongue & boiled linseed oils) as well as unfinished and is in white pine as shown (~40" L x 22" W x 24" H to top of side rails), see buildout options below. Bench is extremely sturdy, constructed of mortise/tenon/dowel joinery and can support up to 400 pounds seating on top (cushion can be placed on top of bench for seating). This bench is considered an heirloom quality product that can be passed down through generations. This bench's primary purpose is to situate in an entry way (or mud room) of home and provide user an area to store shoes and provide a comfortable seat on top of bench to sit down and either put shoes on or take off, although bench can be utilized for other presentation/storage uses in any area of home. Side rails can be integrated for a finished look and provide customer a secure system to place cushion(s) or just leave bare top with/without rails (see customer buildout options below).
Buildout Options:
Bench can be personalized to customer's choice with or without side rails (see photos), wood species, stain coloring, final finish, and final dimensions. This is a hand crafted "order to build" item so please expect approximate +/- 2 months for buildout and delivery. Upon purchase, I will contact customer to layout build options with customer's choice of wood species, dimensions, and color / stain / final finish options. Weekly progress photos and check ins with customer will be had to provide for a more immersive customer experience. Note, price includes shipping and handling. Freight shipping arrangements to be worked out with customer once buildout is complete. US Lower 48 states only for shipping.
Also included with this Artisan piece is a care kit, care kit instructions, and information on where to procure replacement care products. Care kit includes oil rub preservative custom made by me with paraffin oil/bees wax/carnauba wax/orange oil/jojoba oil to protect wood/hardware components, microfiber clothes. As a note, the largest killer of wooden/metal furniture piece creations is UV and environmental pollution breakdown over time. I include the kit above with instructions to protect against both of these contributors to furniture deterioration which can be applied to any other precious furniture pieces you may own or acquire in future.
